Dr. Bryn Taylor Haws earned her medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine, graduating magnum cum laude. Following medical school, Dr. Haws completed her anatomic and clinical pathology residency at The University of Kansas Medical Center. During residency, Dr. Haws developed a special interest in hematopathology and blood banking. She completed several research projects and published her results in several medical journals. She continued her love for hematopathology by completing a subspecialty fellowship at The University of Kansas Medical Center where she was part of a busy NCI-designated bone marrow transplant center.

Following training, Dr. Haws began her career in Fairbanks, Alaska where she developed a strong sense of community and desire to be intimately involved in the medical community. Dr. Haws took on several leadership positions to accomplish her goals to improve healthcare in a geographically isolated, yet modern, community. After joining PAIF in 2018, she has continued to serve the Eastern Idaho community as blood bank director, Chair of the Transfusion Safety Committee, and an active member of Quality Executive Committee.

Dr. Haws is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), American Association of Blood Banks (AABB), College of American Pathologists (CAP) and a diplomat of the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and Hematopathology.

Bryn is returning home by coming to Southeastern Idaho. She is a graduate of Idaho State University where she met and married her husband, Luke Haws. Having similar career goals, Bryn and Luke completed their undergraduate and medical school training together. Dr. Luke Haws is a Family Medicine physician in Idaho Falls. Together they are the proud parents of 3 beautiful, busy boys. As a family, they love backpacking, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, and fly fishing in the beautiful Idaho outdoors.
