Hematopathology

After graduating from Brigham Young University with his bachelor's degree in Zoology, Dr. Daines earned his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Clark completed his pathology residency at the University of Utah, where he continued his stay as an Instructor of Pathology based at St. Marks Hospital in Salt Lake City.

After seven years as a practicing pathologist and University of Utah faculty member, Dr. Daines moved to Washington State and gained a wealth of experience working for a large 200 physician multispecialty group. After five additional years in practice, Dr. Daines returned to the University of Washington to acquire his subspecialty expertise in hematopathology. Dr. Daines completed his Hematopathology fellowship in 2012 at the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance - Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and University of Washington Department of Laboratory Medicine.

Dr. Daines is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology. He is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Society of Hematology (ASH) and is a diplomat of the American Board of Pathology (ABP).

Dr. Daines has been involved with several volunteer projects including serving as the medical advisor setting-up laboratory equipment for the Children of Vietnam in Danang, Vietnam. One of his most treasured volunteer experiences, however, took place in the struggling country of Ghana where he spent 1½ months reviewing pathology cases and training the medical professionals in the city of Kumasi.

Clark and his wife, Angela, are the proud parents of four boys and they enjoy spending as much time with them as possible. Dr. Daines is a native of East Idaho, having been born and raised in Montpelier. He is delighted to have returned to East Idaho with his family and enjoys the lifestyle afforded by living in this area of the country.
